On stoji pred svijetom kao pred velikom zagonetkom.
Sapere aude.
“Philosophy is more than an academic subject; it is a daily practice that helps people to live in a better, more humane way.”
With these words Irina Bolkova, Director-General of UNESCO wished happy World Philosophy day in year of 2016.
By celebrating World Philosophy Day each year, on the third Thursday of November, UNESCO underlines the enduring value of philosophy for the development of human thought, for each culture and for each individual.
Why a Philosophy day?
“For centuries, in every culture, philosophy has given birth to concepts, ideas and analyses, and, through this, has set down the basis for critical, independent and creative thought.”
UNESCO
While the children can always find something new in the world, grown ups think of a world as common knowledge. For that reason philosophers act and experience world like the children. No philosopher has never felt quite suitable with the world in which he is thrown and that is why he stands in front of it is mystery unsolved.
